Chick-fil-A Doesn’t Attract Atheists

If you ever blindfolded and brought to Chick-fil-A headquarters in Atlanta you might spend an hour or so there, wondering the facility, before you realized you were at a chicken sandwich company.  You might think early on that you were at some quasi-Christian organization.  Even though Truitt Cathy had a company mission of delivering great food and great service, all of that was undergirded by a devotion to sharing the good new of the Gospels of Jesus Christ and a dedication to family.

Indian Rock Date Night (3:30pm – 8:30pm)

Supplies: Beach Chairs, Towels, Small Cooler, Light Jacket

Budget: (With Chair Rental – $100.00) (Without – $75.00)  This includes two lobster dinners with soft drinks.

This Date Night is dependent on the evening weather so plan ahead.

Preparation:

Head over to the website (https://www.irbchairs.com/), and follow them on Facebook.  They do a great job of posting weather, crowd, and parking reports for this specific location.  Even if you don’t use their services, it’s a great pro tip.  If you don’t use their service stick in a couple of beach chairs and towels.

Execution:

I recommend the handheld pies, but we have tried many of their baked goods and they are delicious.  Have them box your deserts, don’t forget to ask for forks, and stick them in the cooler.

We like to get there around 5:00 for an earlier dinner.  This place is small, and you will beat all the crowds.  Oh, fun fact, this place was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

Keegan’s is almost directly across from the public beach parking, 1700 Gulf Blvd, Indian Rocks Beach, FL.  Pro Tip:  In the unlikely event that the parking lot is full there is a church one block behind Keegan’s and slightly to the north.  They welcome beach goers.

 

Finally, walk to the beach, setup you’re chairs or enjoy that setup for you and then take in the restorative sights, sounds and smell that only God can provide through His awesome creation.  Even at $100.00, this is far cheaper and more therapeutic than any marriage counseling.

Oh, and don’t forget your cooler.  Nothing tops off this evening like a French pastry next to your beautiful spouse, and the orange glow of a Florida sunset.
