Begin With The End In Mind – The GMA

The Gold Medal Of Achievement

The highest and most prestigious Ranger award.

• GMA
  • Highest award in two Outposts
• GMA with Merit
  • Highest award in three Outposts
• GMA with Honors
  • Highest award in all four Outposts

How Long Will It Take

While there are many merits and medals that will be achieved along a Rangers journey the Gold Medal of Achievement will take approximately

6 Years

The Four Outposts

 

Kindergarten – 2nd Grade

3rd – 5th Grade

6th – 8th Grade

9th – 12th Grade

Remember 

Any Ranger can continue to work on any advancement trail past one grade level.  For example, an Adventure Ranger can continue to work on his Gold Eagle until he completes 8th grade.

18th Birthday
Final Cut Off

One a Ranger reaches the age of 18 he in no longer eligible to earn merits.

All high achieving Rangers are required to read “A Boys Journey to Manhood” and complete the capstone assignment.  Here is a link to that book on Amazon.
