Don’t Forget To Take “Ranger Nutrition”

There is a great story in the Bible, the book of Samuel, where Saul is afflicted by an evil spirit.  He called on David to sing and play the harp for him.  What do you think he sang to Saul?  The Psalms.  And this nourished Saul and drove back the evil spirit.

Isn’t it interesting that we pull plants out of the ground, in effect killing them, we process animals we have slaughtered to nourish our bodies?  Those foods break down and give us life.  Restore our cells, muscle tissue and blood.  Neglect this kind of nourishment and die.  Period.

But we are more, much more than material beings, and without spiritual nourishment what do you think happens to our souls.  That’s right – death.  Permanent death!

Our Royal Rangers are bombarded with a world view that we are material creatures in a material world and our bodies operate completely on material chemical reactions.  Feel happy – chemical reaction, feel sad – chemical reaction, feel despair – chemical reaction.
