Is Rangers Too Vanilla? 

Ice Cream has an 18 billion dollar impact on the US economy and guess which flavor still towers over all the rest?

Why do we describe boring or lackluster things as vanilla, i’ll never no?  If being at the top of your field means being vanilla then call me vanilla.  As Royal Ranger we often see ourselves as vanilla and think we have to change so that more people will like us.  How about we just be proud of our “vanilla” and praise God for our place at the top.

Faith — strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

Commander Wayne let’s give the audience today a reason to embrace just how vanilla we are.

I really love our conversations we have been having lately about “Who we are”.

Have you ever been in one of those situations where you were in front of someone that has never heard of Royal Rangers and now you have to come up with the elevator pitch?

What is Royal Rangers? Who are we? This should be one of those questions that is not only easy to answer but the answer should leave the person you are speaking with encouraged and excited.

• So, who are we Commander Wayne?
• We are all living in Hamster Balls.

o  93% indoors?  Really?  Talk about tragedy.

• Reveal how the basketball merit is just “catch and release”.

o  No football team would have their players practice soccer.

• The Physicist that loves THE garden.
• Everyone is built to love the outdoors.

o  Everything that is good for us takes effort.

• Restoration over Relief.

o  The phycological world knows just how restorative religion is.
